The Mourning Dove perched on my tree
Bringing its mourning calls to thee
And I reply "How are you today, mom?
Are you enjoying the midday sun?"
The morning brings peace and love
The mourning brings the spirits from above
The morning brings a smile to my face
As the mourning calls out with elegance and grace
