You were my friend I’d do anything for you
Don’t you even know that I’d lay down my life for you?
We hung out and talked went to games and had fun
I thought I could trust you but I guess I was wrong
It’s like a butter knife that is thrust in my back
Twisting and pushing I’m being attacked
I’ve NEVER done anything wrong at you
Why this masquerade and the events that ensued
This clanging I keep hearing of some wrong that I’ve done
It makes me so angry at what you’ve become
A scab, a sore something so contrite
I feel you yet fear you in this miasma of frostbite
Something so heinous and something so sad
Why did this happen but I bet your so glad
It’s alright all is forgiven we’ve both done things wrong
But why did it have to happen why do we have to be so headstrong
Something we built this friendship I thought would last
A heart of stone instead of glass
So off we go on our merry ways
Waving g’bye see you later in this frosty unfriendly haze

MEANING:
It's the nature of life on this earth to be betrayed, but the sting is always so new. It's why it takes me a long time to trust somebody. I wrote this poem to get my feelings out and so that once and for all, I'd be over and done with it. To get all this anger out in one fell swoop.
